MILWAUKEE (May 12, 2010) - The second annual Summer Soccer Showcase game at the U.S. Cellular Arena is set for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 14. Tickets are only $8 for this special exhibition game featuring members of the MISL Regular Season Champion Milwaukee Wave. On-field entertainment begins at noon and includes local dance teams, a martial arts demonstration and a youth soccer demonstration. Limited free bus and van parking for summer camp and day care programs is available on the streets surrounding the U.S. Cellular Arena.
Last year's inaugural Summer Soccer Showcase was played before more than 4,500 people, just days after the beginning of the "Save the Wave" campaign that brought the team back to Milwaukee for a 26th season.
The Milwaukee Wave professional indoor soccer team is the longest-running professional soccer team in the country. The Wave completed their 26th season by winning the Major Indoor Soccer League regular season championship. Their summer camp program is the largest team-operated program in the country.
