Dec 20, 2013TONY WALLS NAMED TO HONORABLE MENTION TEAM OF THE WEEK

MILWAUKEE – The Major Indoor Soccer League announced on Tuesday that Milwaukee Wave Defender Tony Walls has been named to the Honorable Mention of the MISL Team of the Week for the fifth week of the 2013-2014 regular season.

Walls, born in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, scored a 3-point goal in Friday’s match against the Missouri Comets. It was his first career goal in the MISL.

Walls played his college career at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay (2007- 2011). He made 75 appearances, tallying 18 goals and 11 assists. During his senior year, he was named the Horizon League Player of the Year.

In 2012, Walls played one season with the Chicago Fire of (MLS) Major League Soccer and was selected in the 3rd round of the January MLS Supplemental Draft. Walls signed a 2-year contract with the Milwaukee Wave in November.

The Milwaukee Wave will return home on Saturday, December 28 for a matchup against the St. Louis Ambush at 6:00pm CT. All fans in attendance will receive a window decal. The Wave will then host the Syracuse Silver Knights on Tuesday, December 31 at 2:00pm CT. All fans in attendance will receive a foam noodle, compliments of Bartolotta’s.
