LEITE EARNS ANOTHER TEAM OF THE WEEK SELECTION
MILWAUKEE (Jan. 28) — Milwaukee Wave midfielder Marcio Leite was named to the Major Indoor Soccer League Team of the Week following his hat trick Saturday night against St. Louis.
Leite scored seven seconds into the fourth quarter, then added goals at the 4:52 and 8:15 marks to extend Milwaukee's lead to 19-9; the Wave clinched a 21-9 win and remain atop the MISL standings at 10-2. He is seventh in the league scoring race with 32 points (8 2PG, 16 A).
Baltimore goalkeeper William Vanzela was named Player of the Week, after the Blast defeated Syracuse and Rochester on consecutive nights, allowing a total of seven points. Also on this week's team were Brian Harris of Missouri, Adauto Neto of Baltimore, Darren Toby of Syracuse and Mauricio Salles of Rochester.
Milwaukee's Ian Bennett and Victor Quiroz received honorable mention in the selections.
