LEITE ON MISL TEAM OF THE WEEK FOR 4TH TIME

MILWAUKEE (March 4) — For the fourth time this season, the Milwaukee Wave's Marcio Leite was named to the Major Indoor Soccer League Team of the Week following his eight-point performance on Saturday against St. Louis.

Leite's three-goal, two-assist effort led the Wave back from a halftime deficit to defeat the Ambush, 16-12. The midfielder from Brazil, who turns 30 later this year, surged to fourth place in the league scoring race with 61 points by scoring 25 in his last five games.

Now that the regular season is concluded, Leite and the second-seeded Wave head to third-seeded Missouri this weekend for Game 1 of the MISL Semifinals at 3 p.m. Sunday. On Monday at 7 p.m., Milwaukee hosts Game 2 and, if necessary, a 15-minute “mini-game.”

This week's Player of the Week is Missouri goalkeeper Danny Waltman, who allowed two goals in 93 minutes in a pair of victories, stopped 32 of 34 shots. Waltman and Leite were joined on the Team of the Week by Max Touloute of Missouri, Kenardo Forbes of Syracuse, Max Ferdinand of Baltimore and Edgar Bartolomeu of Rochester.
