MASL CONFIRMS 20 TEAMS FOR 2015-16 SEASON

The Major Arena Soccer League, North America's top arena soccer league, has named the 20 teams confirmed thus far for the 2015-16 season.

Three expansion teams will join the league for the new season, as teams will begin play in Hartford, Conn., Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Sonora, Mexico. They join 17 teams returning from the previous season. The 20 teams set to play in the upcoming season are:

Baltimore Blast; Brownsville Barracudas; Cedar Rapids Rampage; Chicago Mustangs; Dallas Sidekicks; Detroit Waza Flo; Harrisburg Heat; Hartford City FC; Las Vegas Legends; Milwaukee Wave; Missouri Comets; Ontario Fury; Sacramento Surge; St. Louis Ambush; Ranho Seco Saltillo; Soles de Sonora; San Diego Sockers; Syracuse Silver Knights; Tacoma Stars; Turlock Express.

Two groups are still going through the final expansion process for the 2015-16 season, and could receive approval in time to field a team this November. The teams are located in Cincinnati and Tijuana/Baja California.

Division formats will be announced in the coming weeks, and a final schedule is expected soon after that.

The Major Arena Soccer League will open the 2015-16 season Nov. 1, 2015, with the season scheduled to end at the end of February. Teams will play a 20-game regular season schedule.

Major Arena Soccer League:
