The Milwaukee Wave has announced a two-year contract extension for target forward Nick Perera.

"I'm really excited to come back to Milwaukee to win another championship. It's an honor and privilege to play for this new Milwaukee Wave and to add to the history of this prestigious franchise", says Nick Perera, about his contract extension.

Perera has been with the Wave since 2011 where he was a finalist for MISL Rookie of the Year, when he recorded 52 points on his rookie season

Last season Nick played in 26 games where he had 49 points for the Wave.

"We're looking for Nick to have a breakout year with us at forward. He has a great touch for a big man and can score and also help others to score. He led the US National Beach Soccer team in goals and finished seventh at the World Cup. He is now playing with a tremendous amount of confidence," says head Coach, Keith Tozer.

This past September, Nick competed in the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Tahiti. He was a member of a 12-player roster that represented the USA. Perera led the team in goals with 5 goals in the three games but unfortunately the team failed to advance passed the group stage.

The Milwaukee Wave has announced a two-year contract extension of target forward, Hewerton Moreira.

"He has proven to be one of the best targets in the MISL for years and his ability to create goal scoring opportunities for himself and teammates is a huge asset for us," states Head Coach Keith Tozer.

Hewerton began his career with the Wave in 2005, before being picked up by Detriot Ignition in the NPSL expansion draft. Hewerton came back to the Wave in the 2008-2009 season but missed a large number of games due to injury. Hewerton has recorded 161 points on 212 shots.
