MKE WAVE WINS BIG IN DETROIT

After dropping a game to the defending MISL champion Missouri Comets last week, your Six-Time Champion Milwaukee Wave returned to their winning ways Saturday night defeating the Detroit Waza Flo at Melvindale Arena, 4-0.

“I thought we played very well,” said Head Coach Giuliano Oliviero. “We’re happy with the result but Detroit didn’t make it easy.”

Forward #10 Luan Sales Oliveira led the way for the MKE Wave with two goals, Pius High School Alum, #3 Philip Surprise contributed one and rookie #24 Amilicar Herrera, Riverside University High School alum, scored his first MKE Wave / Major Arena Soccer League goal. Meanwhile on the defensive side #23 Victor Quiroz stepped into goal after goalkeeper #1 Marcel Feenstra suffered an injury 5 minutes into the third quarter. Feenstra did not return.

“Trainers are still assessing Feenstra’s injury but it looks like he could be out for the next few games,” said Oliviero. “It’s an unfortunate loss but we wish Marcel a speedy recovery.”
