WAVE SIGNS ROOKIE STANDOUT MUNOZ

MILWAUKEE, June 4 – The Milwaukee Wave Pro Soccer Team and second-year forward Carlos Muñoz have signed a three year contract.

“It’s a big opportunity. I’m excited to play for Tozer, he’s a winner.  I’m excited to play for the Wave, my goal is championships,” said Muñoz.

Last season Muñoz earned All-Rookie honors as Rookie of the Year runner up in the Major Indoor Soccer League voting, second only to the Milwaukee Wave’s own Luan Oliveria.

“I am very pleased on signing Carlos for the next three years,” said Keith Tozer, Head Coach/VP of Soccer Operations. “As a first year player, Munoz demonstrated an uncanny ability to score goals.  He possesses a great shot and the ability to beat defenders.”

The 25 year old forward from Montevideo, Uruguay recorded an impressive stat sheet his rookie year, seeing action in 25 games, recording four three-point goals, 21 two-point goals and eight assists.  Munoz’s 62 points tied for 10th in league scoring with the Milwaukee Wave’s Ian Bennet.
